Author experienced recently three cases of neurofibroma, in the otolaryngological fields.
Case 1. A 7 year old boy was admitted on January 7 1970 with the complaint of a large cystic tumor on the left side of the face. On January 7 1970, this turner was removed successfully. The tumor was firm, encapsulated and 4X6X2cm in size. Histopathological study revealed a neurofibroma.
Case 2. A 26 year old male was first visited to our department on November 15 1969, with the complaintt of tumor mass on the right lateral pharyngeal wall which was developed gredually since two monthsfago. The tumor was removed under tracheotomy and ligation off the right external carotid artery. The histopathological study was a neurofibroma." The tumor was also firm, encapsn fated and 6×5×3cm in size.
Case 3. A 35 year old female came to the department with complain of firm, tumor mass on the left_ tonsil and extend to the left soft palate. Preoperative biopsy-revealed a neurofibroma. On June 6 1970, the tumor was removed surgically. It was a dark reddish, firm and encapsulated, with smooth surface measured 6×4×2cm
